The Palmer Research Group has been awarded a grant for our pilot study: Framework for Culturally Relevant and Responsive Music Teaching
Since the pandemic began two years ago, we have been working to better understand best practices to serve all students and educators in music education classrooms, K-16. Our weekly Zoom calls continue to be a weekly highlight and we are honored to work on a team with dear friends. We are excited to announce our pilot study has received a research grant from the National Association for Music Education (NAFME) and Society for Research in Music Education (SMRE), and can’t wait to share findings and next steps! This grant will fund our pilot study testing the efficacy of our grounded framework for culturally relevant and responsive music teaching.
